Chris Marsh
President & Chief Executive Officer
Chris Marsh joined Pulse Health in May 2007 as chairman of the board and became CEO in January 2008, bringing a wealth of experience in strategic growth to the company. Previously, Chris Marsh was president of the talent management division of Kronos Inc., a publicly traded company with a market capitalization of $1.8 billion, which he joined through its acquisition of Unicru in August 2006; as CEO at Unicru, Chris Marsh grew the company from $6 million to more than $130 million in revenue. He also led the E*Trade acquisition of Card Capture Services (CCS) in 2000. He joined E*Trade as executive vice president, following his stint as CFO and COO at CCS. Chris Marsh is a member of the board of directors for Auctionpay, Aisle 7, i4cp Inc., Henningsen Company and Hubcast Inc., and he is a board member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Oregon.
David Urman
Founder & Chief Marketing Officer
David Urman is co-founder of Pulse Health, and as chief marketing officer, he is responsible for strategy, corporate direction, marketing leadership and growth of the business. David Urman’s interest in Pulse Health stems from his involvement in Beanstalk Partners, which he founded in 1995 as a consultant to national affinity organizations. Previously, he served as executive vice president of business development at GSN, a software company based in Vancouver, B.C. He is well versed in various aspects of business and corporate law, which he practiced for 10 years at the law firm of Ball Janik in Portland, Ore.
David Chernoff, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. David Chernoff is chief medical officer of Pulse Health and combines the perspective of a practicing clinician with decades of biopharma industry experience. His medical practice has centered around infectious diseases, with a concentration on AIDS research. He is a recipient of the National AIDS Caregiver Award from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which recognized his contribution to the development of viral load assays used to monitor disease progression and response to therapy in AIDS patients. Dr. David Chernoff spent two years as an entrepreneur-in-residence and one year as an operating partner at the venture firm TPG, where he was actively involved in due diligence and in incubating new companies.
John Dettra
Chief Financial Officer
As chief financial officer for Pulse Health, John Dettra oversees all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. John Dettra comes to Pulse Health from Unicru Inc., where he served as vice president of finance and administration. During his tenure with Unicru, the company grew from $14 million to $50 million before being acquired by Kronos Inc. for $150 million in 2006. Previously, John Dettra was assistant controller for CCS/E*Trade Access and was on hand when CCS was purchased by E*Trade for $90 million in 2000.
Maura Mahon
Vice President, Operations
As vice president of operations, Maura Mahon oversees Pulse Health’s operations and infrastructure. She has more than 20 years of experience in software implementation, program management and strategic alliance development. Prior to joining Pulse Health, Maura Mahon served as director of professional services with Kronos, where she was instrumental in acquisition strategy and enhanced resource quality and productivity. Previously, she was a principal consultant with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and she served as the director of eCommerce Practice with Emerald Solutions. Maura Mahon holds a bachelor’s in mathematics and computer science from State University of New York, Albany, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
